My wife tells me that there is no grammar in Thai, the way that English has grammar. "Will code Visual BASIC for cash."

Japanese is sufficiently different from English that trying to learn it gives you a new insight into your own language. 2. Studying the language and culture, even casually, gives you a new insight into a foreign people. I know I regard Asians differently than before I began learning Japanese. Wade.
