(all that's missing is the napalm ... so far.) OTOH, I know a guy who lost a leg on the Sunday Morning Ride\ufffd (local bikers gathering.) Apparently, the shock disconnects the coptic (in the religious) fibre network to the pain modem, for a time. Maybe like, when you turn on AM radio and people are jabbering insults, and at some point the brain treats this like the usual white-noise background - and you don't hear it anymore? (But I'll bet the Big OUCHIE arrived before the morphine... :-/
