New USB keyboard problem
My keyboard port started flaking out on my primary box.
I assume a hardware issue, on the computer itself,
since it is the same with multiple keyboards.

It would simply stop working. Sometime after multiple
reboots it would start again. This computer is located
on top of my table and is a favorite spot for my cat
to hang out on. There is a strong probability that
that cat uses the keyboard plug area as a foothold
when climbing up.

So, I figured I'd try USB.

I'be got a USB keyboard/mouse adpter that seems to work.

But: After hold down an ALT or CTL key for more than
(hmmm - 2 seconds?) it would self-release. This make
switching windows or desktops a race since it usually
takes more than 2 seconds for me to decide which one
I want.

Also, my dual mouse press stopped working as a paste button.
I assume this all can be addresses in a X.org conf file
somewhere.

Any hints?
New Try a different USB port?
It's a bit of a longshot, but some motherboards are a little fussy about which ports it likes for keyboards.

Wade.

Is it enough to love
Is it enough to breathe
Somebody rip my heart out
And leave me here to bleed

Is it enough to die
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be Anything but Ordinary
Please
