# netstat -an | grep -i time_wait | wc -l
6404
# netstat -an | grep -i fin | wc -l
29
# netstat -an | grep -i establish | wc -l
720
# netstat -an | grep -i listen | wc -l
22
seems like the time_wait is out of proportion to the rest of the states
