Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thanks to Beep for hosting the Beepfest event! It's an incredible act of selflessness. Where else could one wake up on the floor, realize the air mattress had gone flat, and those objects hanging 18 inches over your head are Drew's socked feet! Drew had claimed a recliner chair to sleep in.
Thanks to Box for driving me over a thousand miles up and down the East coast! While we managed to briefly go over 90 mph, we spent hours averaging 6 mph.
Thanks to Wade for coming half way around the world to join the rest of us. It made realize that I only had a tiny fraction of his trek and shouldn't miss the opportunity to meet him as well as the other IWeThey regulars.
Thanks to the rest of the IWeThey crew for showing up. Other than Box and Greg, all were new faces to me.
Thanks to Lily for the hello and goodbye hugs. (Eat you heart out, Andrew! :))

Thanks for allowing me to see you again.
Say hi to your wife and dog.

Well, you are very huggable!
I dont know if Andrew is huggable. I've never had the chance to find out. I'm sorry that you met me in not one of my best moments. Normally I'm a lot more fun and chatty. I didnt even get to tell any band camp stories. You all did seem to enjoy me blowing up that beach ball, though!
It was also very nice to meet Wade and sample vegemite. Tasty! I also learned that a man in a kilt is indeed very nice to look at.

Not brief enough, if you ask me.
Do they even make mini-kilts?

You can get kilts in any length you like.
Including mini-kilts. Since most are made to measure*, you can specify any particular dimensions you like. However, the pattern for a kilt for a girl's hips is slightly different from that for a boy's hips. Not all kilt-makers will make a kilt for a woman.
Beware - I know a lot more about kilts than you would suspect. This has caught me out a few times. :-D
Wade.

No, really? *feigns astonishment*
Would 12 inches be too long? I normally wear 22 inches of kilt...

Wade, who, sadly, has better things to spend money on than a too-short kilt.

There were lots of kilts in our 4th of July parade. A dashing look if you ask me. Have never seen a mini-kilt before - on man or woman - hmmmmm.

Most people who comment like them.
As for mini-kilts... there is [link|http://www.usakilts.com/mini_kilts.php|this], which is relatively conservative, or [link|http://www.findcoolclothes.com/00459.html|this] which most definitely is not.

mini for ?
So, do they just make minis for women or do they also make them for men? Curious...

They're aimed at women.
There is much discussion about the Right Length of a kilt on a man, including pictures of How Not To Do It. So the widespread consensus in the kilted community is that mini-kilts are too short for a man. Thus, they are targetted at women. Mini-kilts are actually a version of a kilted skirt, anyway.
Mind you, I haven't asked. Perhaps I should. It would certainly stir discussion!
But as I said before, since they're mostly made to measure, a kilt-maker would make a short one if you like. Some will try to argue you out of it, mind.
Wade.

No. But, floor length kilt would have been fine. :)
And probably more amusing!
