The Old Testament fellow seemed quite involved and aware at times. The New Testament one, well, I dunno.

Old Testament:

8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"

10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."

11 And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?"

12 The man said, "The woman you put here with me\ufffdshe gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it."

13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?"
The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

9 "And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

New Testament:
[link|http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=53&chapter=2&verse=11&version=31&context=verse|1 Corinthians 2:11]:

11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

[link|http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?book_id=65&chapter=4&verse=12&version=31&context=verse|Hebrews 4:12]:

12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

So, I dunno. It may depend on who's relating information about God. ;-)

My $0.02.

Cheers,
Scott.
