Greg Folkert, I blame you. ;-)
So I've decided to leave Keenspot and make a go of it on my own.
Come July I will be hosting ubersoft.net and eviscerati.org on slicehost.com, an intermediary step between my previous situation (hosted on keenspot) to my ultimate situation (colocation somewhere). I reached this decision after having a chat with Greg, who made some very interesting suggestions... I didn't quite feel ready to go the colocation route just yet, but slicehost is a good step in that direction.
So in a few months I will learn whether it is actually possible to make any money of the Intertubenetsphere... or if I will simply fade away into the digital ether.
Eeep.

I hope you realize...
This means I might have to *KEEL* you!
I guess I just need to take the plunge and piss off more people and get ad support etc for my blog.
But, I don't really have any "expert" niche I can write about. Consistently.
Oh well. Let us know how things go.

Disagree.
But, I don't really have any "expert" niche I can write about. Consistently. I disagree. You could keep a running [link|http://rhetoric.gregfolkert.net/|blog] of your experiences keeping a Debian machine up to date. It would be a nice go-to place for those who are afraid to live on the bleeding edge, but who need something new. You participate at a lot places that many of us don't frequent. Having your Debian wisdom in one place would be a great service. It could lead to remote consulting gigs, and I'll bet you could earn some decent $$ from ads on it, too. You know, sort of like that other guy's [link|http://linuxmafia.com/~rick/|stuff], but more up to date and more Debian-specific. Just a thought. :-) Cheers, Scott.

You'd get bored soon...
I just don't seem to have most problems other people have.
I guess, I am lucky. Of course, now, if I wrote about everything I help others on Debian User and Samba and Exim and so on... I might be able to make a go of it.
Maybe.
I'd have to dwell on it for a while.

I'd wish you luck, if only I were a pleasant human being.
Naah, just kidding -- best of luck!

Well it's part of your charm.
It's just a very sharp, pointy part that occasionally causes blindness and internal hemmoragging.
