Survived my first week
I work with a bunch of nurses who are sicker than I am in their enjoyment of disgusting diagnoses and gross stuff in general. They have to be. The population we serve is less than hygienic. Open wounds, infections, sepsis, amputations, bugs, maggots, feces. I fit in with this crew just fine. One of my coworkers told me not to get too attached to my patients because they tend to "expire" quickly. Expire. Just like old, curdled milk.
And I've got some great stories to share already.
But first, I need beer. I havent been this happy to see Friday in a long time.

Food is good
It's animal tissue that's hard for me to stomach. Although I gotta tell you, the other night I took the kids out to a broasted chicken joint. I was starving. I tore into that chicken and when I was done with mine I started picking at my daughter's plate. Sometimes I just gotta eat meat. As long as I ignore the muscle striation,the veiny things, the cartilidgey things and the bones, I'm fine.
Boy, that was good chicken.

When the guy was replacing a cracked pipe twixt house and septic tank, I finally struck a deal re his fancy TeeVee-on-a-wire, for a quick inspection, both ways.
