Welcome to IWETHEY!

New The problem, IMHO, is that you don't leave the past.
You hadn't posted anything here for about 3.5 months, then you posted [link|http://z.iwethey.org/forums/render/content/show?contentid=279882|this]. It seemed like the same old same old. More rehashing of your old troubles, some of which we've tried to help you with in the past. Why didn't you just say "Thank you" and leave it at that? Greg's post wasn't about you.

Everyone has problems. You've had your share. We know that, because you never let us forget it. Many of the best contributors here have told us almost nothing about their personal lives. Think about it. (Yes, I need to take that to heart as well.)

It gets tiresome to go through these cycles with you, Norm. You know what you need to do with your life. You know what you need to do to not annoy people around here. But just for completeness, you'll get a lot fewer "attacks" if you do the following:

1) Stop telling so much about your personal life unless you are asked.
2) Think about the thread. If you decide to reply: Give your opinion, say why, and move on.
3) Stay on topic.
4) Don't rehash, yet again, things that have been beaten to death around here and have never ended well.

Even in threads where you could have offered some valuable insight, like the help desk thread, your [link|http://z.iwethey.org/forums/render/content/show?contentid=280492|post] just became another stream-of-consciousness Poor me. Since you spent at most less than 10 minutes on it before you moved on to your next comment, it's clear that you didn't really want to make a useful contribution - you just wanted to clutter up the thread.

Those are the main reasons why you often get the reactions here that you do. Please consider them before going on another posting spree.

My $0.02. Take it or leave it. No reply is necessary or expected.

ATH0.

Regards,
Scott.
New You're too damned nice.
You show patience and empathy of which the likes of me can only dream.

If ever you're over here, look me up. I'll buy you a pint of proper beer.

New Funny,
I was just going to respond to one of your posts, saying that no matter how mean and snarky you are, you always sound so classy when you say it. Gosh, I love the British.
New I thought that was the french
from the Merovingian when he says that cursing in french is like "wiping your ass with silk".
Too much of today's music is fashionable crap dressed as artistry.Adrian Belew
New But the actual cursing he does after that, proves him wrong.
Or, OK, maybe it is "like wiping your ass with silk" -- smooth and refined to the point of decadence, I imagine is the impression he intends to convey. That certainly is what his half-murmured little litany (most of which I didn't quite hear, but quite plausible-sounding French nonetheless) sounds like... But who the fuck wants their cursing to sound "smooth and refined" in the first place?!? Totally fucking worthless for its intended purpose!

Quite annoying, too; made the whole character come off as quite shabbily coded, IMO -- i.e, not one tenth the scary badass they've been hyping him up to be beforehand.

New This is why there are people who do not reply to him.

Is it enough to love
Is it enough to breathe
Somebody rip my heart out
And leave me here to bleed

Is it enough to die
Somebody save my life
I'd rather be Anything but Ordinary
Please
