New Wrong spot in the chain
It is like this:

Apache->mod_rewrite->Squeak/Seaside->pgpool->postgres

I want a RewriteMap script for mod_rewrite to mux across multiple Squeak/Seaside images in a sticky way - I also want the script to track load and spawn new Squeaks as needed.

New maybe this will help
[link|http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/misc/rewriteguide.html|http://httpd.apache....rewriteguide.html] that method of loadbalancing is addressed in a simple fashion, might give you enough ideas on how to ruby it.
thanx,
bill

New So why does it need to be Ruby?
Certainly not for speed. It's the slowest of the scripting languages.

"Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson..."
New Because I already have a bunch of maintenance script in it
And given that I do scripting so seldom that I have to lookup every line of code - I'd rather not have multiplle languages that I barely remember. No leverage.
