I am looking for a new web-hosting company with Php and MySql. Hackers seem to screw with the smallbie companies, which seem to host a lot of gamers and spammers, and Yahoo has given me headaches also. Thus, is there a reliable brand you can recommend from a medium-to-big company? I notice a lot of other people complain about Yahoo also. It seems like a ripe market for a big-name tech company to lap up. All they have to do is offer a buffet of price/feature options and not suck.
How much do you want to spend and how do you want to run it?
Where I work, we host stuff at Rackspace. They're a really really big player. They tend to do whole boxes, though, not just a PHP/MySQL hosting environment, so you get root on a box and can install what you want. They use Dell and HP hardware and are *very* responsive. But you might not like the prices.
Wade.

Is it enough to die Somebody save my life I'd rather be Anything but Ordinary Please

They offer a bunch of packages starting at "free" and going up from there. I have a higher end package that includes PHP and MySQL and a lot of other stuff but I'm not using any of it yet - just static web pages.
