Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Well, medication, medication, medication...
has its benefits. I have to tell you all a story from last year.

Last year about the time Z changed hands from me to admin, I entered an inpatient mental health facility. 10 days, exiting on July 31.

Before my stay, I was a complete and utter wreck, no mental energy, no ability to care about right or wrong. Many other symptoms of a hugely broken ego and a hugely bad karma aura.

I came out a different person. Unemployed, on the road to recovery (still am on that road), person. I've had a recent adjustment to my meds. Increased by a 50%, last week. As good as I was, it has made significant improvement. Significant.

I have say to any and all of you I have offended and bitched at and so on.

I am sorry.

Edit:

Just for the record: Trileptal is the daily at 900mg twice a day for keep my bipolar swings in check, Clonazepam (0.5 mg tab) as needed for anxiety spikes but usually once a week or less.

The Trileptal or oxcarbazepine is the best thing to happen to me ever.

Second Edit, typo.

New Better Living Through Chemistry
Glad to hear that the meds are working. It is encouraging to those of us who walk that path.

Welcome back to "reality".
Note: I tried googling the 2nd drug - can't find it. Typo?

I should have learned by now that I shouldn't assume...

Cheers,

New And here I thought cough syrup was the "in" thing to do.
Isn't that what all the cool kids whisper about? But I'm finding it isn't particularly fun at all -- doesn't even frigging help against the cough!

Hope yours are better! :-)

New Re: Well, medication, meditation, mensuration
Nice going, Greg.. you use what Works.

(I tend to knock Big Pharma a lot, because a Lot of their cash cow stuff is pure advertainment marketing-grade Me-too potions.) OTOH, I know also a family w/ bipolar-like problems. And since this matter is not remotely about intelligence, 'willpower' or all those other tags which bipeds (especially Puritan-extracted) love to affix to others - no two situations are ever easy to Rx for.

Some One must take a meticulous interest in the plot, be really 'scientific' about logging, paying attention, at each small change. Nice that you have that covered. The small reversals as the mix is altered can be bloody frustrating. But I have witnessed a recovery of (to me) astounding degree, following all the sweat and trials. Even I have to concede that Big Pharma is sometimes our only 'sane' option!

"Chicago to my mind was the only place to be. ... I above all liked the city because it was filled with people all a-bustle, and the clatter of hooves and carriages, and with delivery wagons and drays and peddlers and the boom and clank of freight trains. And when those black clouds came sailing in from the west, pouring thunderstorms upon us so that you couldn't hear the cries or curses of humankind, I liked that best of all. Chicago could stand up to the worst God had to offer. I understood why it was built--a place for trade, of course, with railroads and ships and so on, but mostly to give all of us a magnitude of defiance that is not provided by one house on the plains. And the plains is where those storms come from." -- E.L. Doctorow

It certainly explains a thing or two. But, you owe us no explanation. In my view, one of the obligations of being a member of this group is to occasionally cut some slack to the others in the group. I'm grateful for your many contributions to this group.

You and your wife know a bit more as you stopped by in the bad days.

Things are definitely better. In fact you caught me somewhere near the worst of it. And, I have to say your visit staved off the trip a bit.

New Re: Well, medication, medication, medication...
Well apology accepted if you accept my apology as well. I went through a lot of rough stuff and abuse in 2001 and 2002 from my employers and lost my jobs during those times. It started in 1999 at the first employer to discriminate against me, the law firm. I had mercury and eye drops put in my drinking cup, and a lot of stress put on me. I have gone through a lot since 2003 to now due to being out of work, and adjusting to medication and taking a lot of stress on the Internet (not just here but other places as well) and I guess I sort of lost it. I am trying to get it back so far.

That means no more multiple accounts on ZIWETHEY if my current medication makes me enough adjustments to get rid of that sort of behavior.

I have my left ventricle not getting enough oxygen as well but I had the blockage removed with an angioplasty. So yeah, I sort of get tired at times too.
