Could be your change to the drop-down on the main page?

If he's used to selecting that, then tap down-arrow a certain number of times, then your adding the headlines in between may mean the number of taps ingrained in his finger nerve is off by one... Oh Idunno, just a guess. Could of course also be he's just a clumsy careless fuck.
