Seems a lot - guessing at number of Macs VS other *nix, Beastware, amidst the half a hundred regulars who post. Looks excessive as a 'cluster', if deemed infant mortality. (Or maybe the mini is so tiny, just more handling shocks. I didn't see any elastomer shock mounting in a few pics of the guts.)

I lost a drive to that on my box...and am likely to lose another...though I caught the heat issue in time to deal with it. failures were hitachi drives though, not maxtor. Too much of today's music is fashionable crap dressed as artistry._{Adrian Belew}

My work laptop (HP) from my last job went through 2 disks in 2 years. Harddisks are amazing bits of engineering and technology.
