Welcome to IWETHEY!

New 64 pages is just a guarantee that nobody reads it...
New Didn't work this way at one such place...
They actually *required* new hires to read and initial page upon page of prose that went something like: "We are committed as a company to customer serivce, honesty and integrity and ethics, freedom from sexual harassment, freedom from gang rape with a toner cartridge in the supply closet at least year's holiday party, for which those repsonsible have been disciplined so lay off already, and equal rights for all designated victim groups, honest we are. If you have any complaints, there is a grievance process in place so complainers can be dealt with in a highly responsive and decisive fashion. Employees will not covet blue things, green things, brown things, red things, black things, white things, or translucent things..."

You just know if they "just happen" to overlook a color, say metallic pea, managemers will be coveting, and stealing, metallic pea things, and when they're caught, they'll say it wasn't proscribed in the employee manual.

Sometimes "tolerance" is just a word for not dealing with things.
New That doesn't mean employees will read it, though
they'll just sign it and assume everything will be OK.

Back in my Navy days, we had to sign that we read all kinds of stuff...which there was no way anyone could read in the time allotted and still do their job. The better solution was to skim read, looking for changes and reminding yourself of the big stuff.
