Welcome to IWETHEY!

New When it rains...
We had new furniture delivered on Friday to replace th 15-year-old floor-model couch with the broken frame and foam sticking out (the place where Duncan had put the upright vacuum whilst using the attachments).

We bought a couch, a swivel chair, a huge overstuffed chair with ottoman, and two end tables from La-z-boy.

The one table, left in the box by the delivery men because it needed to warm slowly up to room temp for some reason, had dings and scratches all over it.

The second table is broken: the top section is separated from the base.

The couch is actually rickety to the point that the recliners in each end are shaky both open and closed (the one in the store isn't; I checked on Saturday).

I called the distribution center on Saturday (there's a 48-hour acceptance period); the soonest they can get someone out to *look* at it is the 22nd -- the day before Thanksgiving.

Time to go back to bed again.

The MacBook Pro, which I had to bring in for the second time in a month with a bad hard drive, was picked up on Saturday. They replaced the hdd, the fan assembly, and the flex cable. We'll see how long it lasts this time.

New Well
If it weren't for bad luck, you wouldn't have any luck.

my condolences on your run of bad luck. May you soon switch back to either no luck or good luck.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. (Herm Albright)
New :-( I'm sure you'll be glad when 2006 is over!

New Is your real name "Job"?
Seriously, I'm sorry you are going through the mill. Not a fun place to be. Keep your sense of humor going, it will keep you from crying.

Look at it this way, pretty soon, you are going to turn the corner and you will have more happiness and peace than you thought was possible. You'll be able to laugh with your kids and grandkids and say, "Yep. Ought-Six was the year from hell and by God, we survived it!"

I'm just glad your family is healthy. Hope you are holding up as well.

Wishing you good fortune soon :)
Smile Anyway,
Amy
New Well, yes, that's the big thing.
Everyone is healthy (except me), so I'm thankful for that. I definitely have it much better than some others.

It's just stuff and money. Easier to grow back than a limb.
