New The latest on voter fraud in Missouri
[link|http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2006/10/mccaskills-acorn-friends-submit-1492.html|A development you may or may not have been following]

Excerpts:

At least 16 local democrats have been sentenced for election violations since 2004...

The ACORN Group, the same group that was telling Missourians to vote for Claire McCaskill while registering them to vote, is now in trouble for turning in 1,492 fraudulent voter cards of dead people and teens.

[link|http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061011/ap_on_el_ge/voter_registration_questions|And here's the AP covering the story. In October surprise season no less!]

Excerpt:

Four ACORN workers were fired over a September 2003 incident after the St. Louis board pointed out more than 1,000 questionable new voter registration forms collected by ACORN.

ACORN registered more than a million U.S. voters in 2004, when it also had to defend itself against fraud allegations. That year, unreadable cards, duplicate registrations and other invalid or potentially fraudulent registrations turned up in Ohio, Minnesota, North Carolina and Virginia.

Never mind the AP. Here's the real Iraq reporting: [link|http://michaelyon.blogspot.com/|http://michaelyon.blogspot.com/]

New Now I see why he's called Philbot
This isn't some 'Bush is brilliant and run away before the uncomfortable truths arrive' post, it's the kind of smear tactics used the world over. I originally thought he was a typical dumbo who grabs simplistic visions to avoid hard thinking and a Republican party member at most but this is a change of tactics to direct attack at a political party. It's plain, party propaganda, not someone writing his own political opinions. I will no longer give him the benefit of the doubt. He's a Republican agent posting propaganda into numerous forums that discuss politics.

The chance of an intelligent discussion with him, whether misinformed or not, is zero. Any reply is literally a waste of time.

Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin?
- Mark Renton, Trainspotting.
New LRPD Herself has to chime in -
It seems to me you did this purely out of immense stupidity.

'Republican'? The Neoconman HQ is the PNAC Project for the New American Century\ufffd [Really! You couldn't make this stuff up]- a group of ex-Trotskyites, next into building a corporate, then Global-US-nirvana. Still have a website, even.
re the moniker, for non-US folk: Philip Marlowe was a popular '40s fictional detective. Fictional.. suits very well?
