New A new? trojan infection technique - A "card" from a "friend"
I just got some spam with the subject:

You've received a greeting card from a friend!

Inside, it says:

A Greeting Card is waiting for you at our virtual post office! You can pick up your postcard at the following web address:

.

http://www._____x_____.net/u/view.php?id=a0190313376667

But the link actually points to:

http://carma._____y____.com/postcard.jpg.exe

Needless to say, I won't be clicking on it. It's been around since at least last year according to [link|http://www.sophos.com/pressoffice/news/articles/2005/06/va_postcards.html|Sophos]. I wonder why it's back...

Be careful...

Cheers,
Scott.
New New? That's been around for many years.
Generally it's a card from them advertising their card service, but it can be other things also. Basically it's a waste of time, but it could be a risk too.

Since I run OS/2 I feel free to click on just about anything to find out what it does.
