Installing Debian on an ASUS VIA based board (or any other VIA SATA board, I understand) the ACPI2 power interface must be on or SATA doesn't get it's interrupts resulting in a very frustrating Debian install. Weird, huh?

Also, using the Debian software RAID works and the on-board SATA RAID doesn't seem to work with Linux. It's also software RAID but in the motherboard BIOS, but Debian sees both drives not the RAID. I understand this is a problem with other on-board SATA RAID as well.
