'liberal' --> 'keep the good stuff, but not by freezing it all in concrete' - our local aberrations may be seen in reasonable perspective. Which is a lot more than our National posturings can be seen in. A. First ya screw up language - then you can keep (most of) it all, and still feel Good about your miserable self. Works for US, so far. If you call this 'working'.
