None of the people I mentioned were particluarly religious or used religious based themes. Egypt, Syria, Iraq, etc. were/are all secular regimes. they did not propose to insititue sharia law. They stressed Arab nationalism. Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas are fighting a holy war which is a very different proposition.
