I got a book on Delphi from a garage sale, my Pascal skills are slowly coming back. I am learning OOP for C++, VB.NET, C#, Pascal, and others. I see possibilities. Lazarus seems to be a good language so far, but very little has been written on it. It appears to be based on Free Pascal and it can import some things from Delphi.

I found an old computer magazine CD from a UK magazine that has Delphi 1.0 on it, woot! I tossed it in a big box before I moved into the current house in 1998. I recently found it.

Did I mention that Lazarus works for Windows, Linux, *BSD Unix, OSX, and other systems?

My learning is slow as I have to balance being a full-time father, fixing computer systems for friends and family, volunteering for local projects, and spending quality time with my family.

I am slowly getting my confidence back as a programmer, I wrote some simple functions and I am examining classes and how to build my own objects.
