Welcome to IWETHEY!

New ssh from terminal takes 60 seconds to connect to server
To Linux server (Ubuntu breezy) from the MacBook Pro.

The password prompt takes a long time to come up... any ideas what would cause that? I don't have any issues getting to it quickly from other machines.
Regards,

-scott anderson

New Dunno. OT: Your avatar is timing out.
New Thanks.
It's waiting on the DNS to propagate right now.

New Almost always a reverse DNS lookup failure.
It's trying to figure out where you are coming from, name wise, and then timing out as it wanders the DNS tree.

I'm pretty sure the is a config option to ignore it, but the easy way out is the put
the IP you are coming from into the /etc/hosts
New I'm coming from a DHCP address
But I'll look into that. Thanks.
