No soccer coverage in here?
I know soccer isn't so big in the US, but still.
That said, has anyone used [link|http://ascii-wm.net/|http://ascii-wm.net/] ? I know the world cup is broadcast locally, but the ASCII-art version is really geeky.

It's not "Ice Hockey", it's "Hockey", unless
you're a young woman wearing shorts chasing a ball around a field with sticks, in which case it's "Field Hockey". Or, if you've got a big knob on the end of said stick, in which case it's Golf, or if you've got a little net on the end of a club, when it's Lacrosse.
Did you know the French named it LaCrosse because the goal was to crucify the other team? Watch a competitive match sometime and you'll see what I mean...
As for football/soccer, I enjoy watching the games (and have caught quite a few, both at home and down at my local) but I find it hard to get all worked up about whether England beats Argentina or not.

Hockey is the most violent sport on earth.
Ask anyone who's had to play against the upper 6th girl's team. The experience is a bit like rugby, only more painful and without the good sportsmanship.
Ice hockey, on the other hand, is all pads and blokes and stuff. It's never going to have the level of stealthy brutality that hockey - especially when played by psychotic hormonal teenage girls - does.
