You're gonna look like a right plank with that thing held against your face.

New Anybody try one of these?
I've always wondered how well they could work. If I try reading a book that close to my eye, I can only see a blur.

New My concern is two-fold

1. I don't know how they work with those of us who wear glasses full-time.
2. I'd probably look like an utter plank wearing them.

New I doubt it's that simple.
Reading between the lines of their web site, it looks like they use mirrors to make the image's focus point quite a bit further away.

New Yes.
There's a video on their Web site that shows what the display looks like in the glasses. It appears as if you're holding your iPod roughly a foot (30 cm) in front of your face.

Now, there is what looks like an even more expensive unit that does something similar (but in surround-o-vision) [link|http://www.firststreetonline.com/product.jsp?path=-1|7863&id=38106|here], but I still have similar concerns as with myvu.

Ships were made for sinking, whiskey made for drinking. If we were made of cellophane we'd all get stinking drunk quite faster! Ah, ha, ha!
