Beep bash drinks
I tend to try to fit a lot of living in a single day. That day is coming.
Part of it is the drinks. I try to pace myself during the day, and hit it a bit hard when it gets dark. In the past it was a mix of Mike's Lemonade, Cranberry juice, Hoegarden, Incredible Hulks, and then, when Bill was decided it was time, the really good stuff.
This year I wanna try some mixed drinks. Since I NEVER have them at home, and so rarely drink out, I have no opportunity or knowledge.
The goal here is not superstrong ones, but a variety of something enjoyable that can be sipped all day.
Who wants to recommend some? What ingredients will I need to bring?
This recipe for Mojitos looks good: [link|http://www.whats4eats.com/recipes/r_bev_mojitos.html|http://www.whats4eat..._bev_mojitos.html]

My all time favorite is the Blue Hawaii
1 1/2 oz. Vodka 1/2 oz Blue Curacao 1/4 oz. Creme de Coconut 3 - 4 oz. Pineapple Juice
Blended - Combine with a scoop of ice in an electric mixer. Mix well (15 - 20 sec). Pour into collins or small hurricane glass.
My grandpa Amos used to make these every summer after they came back from Hawaii. You should see the great picture I have of Critter with a blue smile :-)

Similar to that:
Vodka Blue Curacao Orange Juice
What makes these special is the color. Perfect for Halloween.
As far as mixed drinks go, I'm more a "shots or beer" sort of person, unless someone says "here, try this".

For sipping, stuff with Southern Comfort is hard to beat.
E.g. Southern Comfort + 7-Up. It's very sweet though, so it sort-of sneaks up on you before hitting you with that 20 pound sledgehammer.
On the less sweet side:
1 part whiskey (your choice) 1 part cranapple juice 3-5 parts water (depending on how hammered you want to be)
is something that I can drink like iced tea (in ~ 20 oz tumbler). It's easy to drink slowly too, and the water helps keep Mr. Hangover away.
Don't over do it on either one. :-)
Cheers, Scott.
