Welcome to IWETHEY!

New Fish tonight, Yum!
Got me a couple Vermillion Rockfish. At $3.99/# they were top dollar (well, where I shop anyway) but looked too good to pass up, and being in the Scorpionfish family they're sure to be delicious.

Now, a question. How does that picture look to you folks? On my screen it's a little too dark, but on Rose's screen it's just a touch washed out. I'm interested to see how it looks to others and whether you use a CRT or flat screen.

New Ok, I guess - a little scary.
I don't have anything to compare it to. Can you sneak a standard item into the pictures (like a Red Delicious and a Granny Smith apple)? I think it's always going to be an issue (at least until monitors come pre-calibrated).

Samsung SyncMaster 997DF (19" CRT), Brightness = 5, Contrast = 100, White = 9300K, 1600x1200x32bitsx72Hz, NVIDIA GeForce 6600, Win2k.

HTH.

Cheers,
Scott.
New It's eyes are glowing.
Gives me the creeps.

New Yeah, the color's better with the flash . . .
. . but I couldn't get a useful angle without the eyes reflecting back. Just figure it's a zombie fish.

New OK, screwing around with lighting . . .
. . I got a good picture without glowing eyes and still got good color, maybe better.

New Hey! He was a nice fish (tasty too) and gave his life . . .
. . for my sustinance and enjoyment. It is not polite to describe him as "gross".

New Dude ...
One could look at your hemleted avatar and call you gross. To label a dead fish thusly shouldn't offend anyone's sensibilities.

New Got to cook fish with its head on
When I'm buying whole fish, I always specify "leave the head on".

I just tried spicy pig's ears for the first time yesterday. Not bad, but they don't make my favorite list.
