New Get screensaver on both monitors?
OK, after an upgrade I now have 2 monitors. Not quite my ideal setup, but pretty good. The new Radeon will split its output. I ran fireglcontrolpanel and now have 3200x1200 resolution. As far as every program knows, I just have a particularly wide monitor.

Unfortunately when screensaver runs it runs in 1600x1200 resolution, and only runs on my primary monitor. I'd kind of like to blank out everything that I'm working on if I'm not there.

Anyone know how to run a second copy of screensaver that will run on my second monitor? Or stretch out one running screensaver across 2 monitors?

Thanks,
Ben

New Found a bit of info.
Specifically even mentions a screensaver beinf full wide with ati stuff.

You might want to go over this: [link|http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/16543.html|A three screen solution] but the ideals are the same and should help out.

New That doesn't appear to apply to me
I am not using Xinerama. I already have 2 screens working using ATI's fglrxconfig. I don't really want to redo it with Xinerama, particularly not since it is working already, and someone else who tried that ran into minor trouble.

However googling for "fglrxconfig screensaver" lead me to look for the GetViewPortIsFullOfLies setting in .xscreensaver, which caused the single screensaver to cover my full monitor.

So I'm happy now.

Thanks,
Ben

New GetViewPortIsFullOfLies ... speaks to a very frustrated
programmer out there.
New Yes, it does.
But aparrently this may be fixed in X.org R7 (or X11R7.0.X)

Everything is now going to a modular type of setup. Where you only have to install the pieces you need or want.
