New Target disk mode?

If the iMac has Firewire, you should be able to boot it (holding down the T key) into Target disk mode, turning it into an external Firewire drive. Plug it into the Mini, let it mount and drag 'n' drop.

Boot into target disk mode, connect FireWire cable, then it looks like a hard drive to the other mac.

New might try that, Im running into weird permission issues with
appletalk. somehow the username/Library/Safari/* all got owned as root even though I was logged in as the user when I copied it. Safari didnt want to run till I blew that subdirectory away. The UID should have been the same as it was the first user added on both boxes.
thanx,
bill
