Note that Erlang was invented by Ericsson, and has been used by them in several very large telecom apps.

It's interesting, however, since I don't deal much with distributed systems (the most complex distributed system involved a PC, three PLCs, a robot, and two smart cameras -- and only the PC was capable of running Erlang) it'll be a while before I find time.
