The silly workaround is to add javascript to the page as well that changes the document.location to the new url, thus guaranteeing you a belt and suspenders and preventing web developer's embarrassment. The javascript version would have to work on a timer in such a case. In our case, its an annoyance when doing redirects after secure form posts to insecure pages.
