They're being canned after the 2008 Olympics. Weird considering how popular it is in North America, the Caribbean and parts of Asia and the fact that women play which the IOC has been trying to increase the levels of.

New Games take too long
Would have to change to 3 inning game, one pitch per batter, one out per inning, to make the game fast enough.
