New Yep, since last year
[link|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudden_Motion_Sensor|http://en.wikipedia....den_Motion_Sensor]

The Sudden Motion Sensor is an allegedly patented data protection feature introduced by Apple Computer into its refreshed PowerBook and iBook lines on January 1, 2005 and July 26, 2005 respectively.

There are a number of programs/demos that use it, but I don't have one of these so I haven't seen them in action.

Found the following movies at [link|http://www.kernelthread.com/software/ams2hid/ams2hid.html|The Apple Motion Sensor As A Human Interface Device]
