New oracle question
I have 3 oracle instances running on machines foo1 foo2 and foo3. The tables are identically laid out. They reside on emc disk groups named ora1 ora2 ora3. I want to move these databases to a single machine named fooOracle.I can logically export the disk groups from the 3 machines and remount them on fooOracle on mountpoints /ora1 /ora2 /ora3. Now is it easier for the long term to run 3 instances of Oracle on a single machine or would it be smarter to consolidate the data to one database. Any ideas would be helpful.
thanx,
bill

New Single instance would probably be better.
Unless you need to bounce instances independently for development or management (backup, etc) reasons.
