I don't normally gush about meals I've had at restaraunts but dayum...

Mussels on pasta with red sauce sounds simple except this red sauce had chorizo (the Spanish meaty kind, not the Mexican greasy kind) and was much thinner than a typical Italian red sauce. Some red, green and yellow peppers were also in it and a mixture of spices that made me go Ummm... I detected a large dose of cilantro and perhaps a hint of cummin along with the salt, pepper and garlic. I was suprised at the lack of onions until I realized they would have clashed with the chorizo.

The amount of mussels in the dish was extravagent. 18/20? The sauce also had an interesting hint of sweetness (plain sugar, I think) to complement the bite. Served with garlic bread and a spoon to help twirl the pasta. I couldn't finish the meal due to massive fullness and this caused a degree of sadness. Sadness at not being able to enjoy a chocolate lave cake for dessert (a deceptivly small taste explosion).

Overall rating: Extra double plus good yummy

I never would have thought mussels and chorizo was a good mix till I tasted it.
