New 802.11g via USB
I need to hook up my mom's mac mini to the wireless network in the house. She had gone and gotten a dlink usb thing to do it with, but apparently there are no mac drivers for it, and I couldn't get it to go. I read on the net some yakking about installing airport for it, but I have to admit that I find that doubtful, as apparently so did a lot of the other posters on the boards where I read about it.

Any pointers on what might be a good, inexpensive solution? It appears that neither dlink, linksys, nor netgear bother with mac drivers. It wasn't recognised in any way by OSX. Is there something I need to install, or...?

New Found a couple via google
[link|http://afterthemac.com|http://afterthemac.com] has one that'll run you about $56 USD total to have it shipped to Canada.

[link|http://www.macwireless.com|http://www.macwireless.com] has a 11b USB adapter, but they're rather proud of it - $99 before shipping charges.

I'm not familiar with either company.

On re-reading After The Mac, I suspect their adapter is an 11b adapter as well.

New Ended up going with a linksys "game adaptor"
It's an external device that plugs into the ethernet port, and is configured to bridge to the access point via web browser.

Working so far!

New Would have suggested that
but figured you'd be well familiar with that as those are popular with OS/2 users.

New Well, I was hoping for something that would just be part of
the system settings, so I don't have to try to explain how they work to her... which I'm not looking forward to;)
