I need to develop a program, virus if you will
that will examine a computers hard drive to see if there are any *.xls files. If it finds any examine the file for formulas. No formulas all data is zapped and a line in the first cell at font point 26, bold italic will proclaim USE A FUCKING DATABASE TO STORE DATA YOU FUCKING MORON! grumpily on another inventory from hell, bill

Eejit.
Excel (and, indeed, any spreadsheet) is a fine tool for simplistic data analysis, where SQL is not required.
Now fuck off, you wanker.

While you're writing that invasive pile of cack
instead of being a destructive eejit...if you like Access so GD much then instead of being very "artistic" and changing the blasted font...why don't you just give the command "save as" and change the file type to database table.
Or, alternatively, you could pack up your "my way or highway" attitude into a comfy box...and shove it up your patootie hole.
If you push something hard enough, it will fall over. Fudd's First Law of Opposition

It would seem, therefore, that the three human impulses embodied in religion are fear, conceit, and hatred. The purpose of religion, one might say, is to give an air of respectibility to these passions. -- Bertrand Russell

Yup, sure would.
It might even result in Box being removed from the gene pool, and if the trait is dominant, his current progeny as well.

Let the users develop their concepts.
At least they're 'buying in' to an IT system. Remind them that hard drives and Excel crash and that if it's that useful, other people need to access it.

Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourself. Choose your future. Choose life... But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin' else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you've got heroin? - Mark Renton, Trainspotting.
