New Married - ha - it's the years leading up
Age 12+

I saw the news article concerning the kids in PA where the 18 year old was "dating" the 14 year old. He brought her back Sunday morning after keeping her out all night.

Note: These were both SERIOUS "Christian" kids - check out their web postings. Their lives revolved around church groups.

Father hassled the boy.

The boy executed both the father and mother. Single shot to head (I believe).

So I look at the girl's picture that she posted on her MySpace web site.

Looks a lot like the EGC.

And doesn't she have a friend (no, not BF, sure....) a couple of years older.

I wonder if he has a lot of guns.

Hell, I'm just praying she elopes before I know anything about it, be a lot easier for all of us.
New No no no, I meant she's getting married *now*
To the little hottie that sits across from her in class.

I know it's tough with girls. I was one, dontcha know.

New That's common in 2nd or 3rd grade
I remember "weddings" taking place all the time when I was that age.
Of course, I wasn't in any. Wasn't until I was in 6th grade when I grew my "friends" that I started to get noticed. ;-)

Same thing is happening now, only more prevalent in 3rd grade...er, the weddings, that is.

Peace,
Amy

New Got to be careful about bedtimes
In 1991 in the MD suburbs south of DC the boyfriend got killed or seriously injured trying to kill the dad...because the daughter complained her dad was "too strict".

New You mean curfews, don't you?
Actual scenario with my ex-girlfriend.

I get her home 10 minutes late for her curfew on a Sat night. She is grounded for 2 weeks. On the Sun night that the grounding should end, she points out that it should end and her step-dad says no, it continues until Monday. They argue. She locks herself in the bathroom and takes all the pills she can find.

She survived, but not for lack of trying... :-(
