Welcome to IWETHEY!

New New user alert!
Hi guys (and guyesses),
Well, I'm not only alerting you as to a new user, I am the new user I'm alerting you about. Crickey, this could get very complicated very quickly (like my code)! The aforementioned alerting has come about due to Peter (pwhysall) threatening physical (yes physical) harm if I don't post a message in this Water Cooler. Well, here it is Peter!

I shall try to be brief so as not to bore you with statements such as trying to be brief and not boring you. D'OH! I currently work as a C++ Programmer in the North East of England. I have a few ideas on C++ and OOP and would like to share them amongst others - I am human also and like a laugh like anyone (perhaps more - please don't tell them Peter)!

I look forward to getting to know you...

Bri

BTW Surely the Water Cooler should be the Coffee Warmer (heater?) to make us programmers feel at home! Go on Scott, you know you want to change it!
You want my signature? Next you'll want my credit card details... Reminds me of my ex!

New Hi Bri! Welcome, have fun, er, and stuff :)
On and on and on and on,

New Welcome to IWeThey, Bri!

New Moo!
Hoy, Bri!

Water cooler, coffee heater... whatever. ;-)

Actually, the water cooler at work is also a water heater for tea, so maybe you and Peter would feel more comfortable there after all...

New Tea??? Tea???
Not without biscuits. Never.

Coffee...now thats a different bird...and unlike Bri's ex...doesn't ask for a sig.

"Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson..."
New I'll watch out for them.
I still think you should make the whole list available. (-:

New Ach! nein..
We don't gots to know All the data in the world. That path leads to downloads of the Library of Congress and other madness.
Some things are best left up to the omnipresent discrimination of sentient Mysteries; it ain't the 'list'.. it's the {timing}.

What part of "gestalt" don't you understand?
New Sounds like a gathering place . .
. . for little old ladies from Pasadena - and we have only one lady of any kind participating regularly.

Better to call it "The Pub".
[link|http://www.aaxnet.com|AAx]
New Of any kind?
Wadda mean 'any kind'......I'd say only the 'best kind', of course! :-)
New I placed no limit on your freedom . .
. . to chose in accordance with your own self image. Dangerous, I know, since many women would consider that an insult.
[link|http://www.aaxnet.com|AAx]
New Ouch! Andrew takes a 1-0 lead with a vicious curve-ball! :-)
New no insult taken...
....in my mind.....'best' kind fits the bill nicely.

New Point of order!
".. of any kind" ?? I submit: they broke the mold. There ain't no such group.

Hey Mags.. heard anything lately about Colonel McSally VS the 19th century forces for appeasement? Wonder if ACLU is on this case yet. Bagged-Colonels indeed...

Ashton
who, if reincarnated female and sent back to this retard punishment planet - expects to be burned at the stake.. but that fire shall truly light the World \ufffd ;-)
New good point...
....and thanks!

Have not heard much more about Colonel McSally -- wonder what
is the latest? Will have to check.

New McSally on FM - NPR_____ Where else?
Damn well not on McNBC or other McCorp newsfotainment..

Just heard her being interviewed. Spoke clearly and sanely, pretty much reiterating the points already thrashed out here.

Said she is a Christian, referred to the religious aspect of the matter. Either she or reporter mentioned that, even the Saudis do not require vistors to wear bags: it is purely an artifice of the US military. Mentioned 5 senators hassling defense folks over the matter. She has received letters from peers, also above and below.. most supportive - and a few quite not.

Obviously well aware of 'good manners', when in Rome yada yada. But (in her words) "this undermines my authority , ability to lead - and is humiliating". (ie riding around in the back of a jeep covered in a sack..).

May she live long and prosper, and some generals get asses kicked (while wearing an abeya for the punishment). The cowards.

Ashton
New In the "North East of England"? Whassamattayou, can't...
...you spell "Gizzbra"? :-)

Hello, and welcome!

Nah, just kidding about you, but Pete? nuther story!!! :)

Glad to see a newer face than mine... though I came back after finding this place again (after it moved about 4 times, I think).

The spirit of the original IWE(InfoWorld Electric) forums is here and here for the watching. We got lots of characters here just bepatient with a guy named Bill. :) And make sure you get your xbase forms tabilizer certified when you submit them. Also watch out for Ashton the Great the tangents he goes out on are long and windy sometimes. Me??? I just blabber until I forget what I am typing about...

Good luck, and don't be afraid of us about what we say about you or your ideas and posts... cause we say that about everyone else, thier ideas and posts too... Just speak-up and say it!
