Qt has only been GPL since [link|http://www.kde.org/whatiskde/qt.php|v2.2]. Before that it was free under the [link|http://www.trolltech.com/licenses/qpl-annotated.html|QPL] which wasn't GPL compatible. This has been hashed and rehashed and diced and chopped and julienned [link|http://www.kdedevelopers.org/node/169|many], [link|http://freshmeat.net/articles/view/170/|many], [link|http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/license-list.html|many] times.

So, it is rather funny that by now using the GPL they're getting dinged by some.

Cheers,
Scott.
