Anyone using DB2 on Linux?
Just curious. I'm halfway through setting up a few VM's on a pair of quad xSeries 366's, a 4300 SAN and ESX 2.5.2. Anyway, A fresh install of Red Hat Enterprise 4, DB2 UDB 8.1 GA and then I try to run the installFixPack for Fixpack 10 (basically just a script that updates a bunch of rpm's). Curiously, although the DB2 install didn't have any failed dependencies, but the fixpack did. Not a big deal, but I thought I'd ping IBM's support line and let them know about it. The support guy said that I was "only the second person to report this." Got me to thinking, okay, probably everyone using DB2 on Redhat just fixes it without reporting it but I wonder what kind of market share DB2 UDB has on linux.
