I use it on an LCD daily.
I don't have a CRT anymore. Laptop is all I use. All looks bootiful enough for me.

$me == picky_bastage
Put up an xterm window next to a gnome-terminal window and look at the difference. The anti-aliased fonts may look good, but the terminal fonts are sharper. And when I was reviewing thousands of lines of code per day, it made a difference.

See it in action [link|http://www.mikevitale.com/images/Screenshot-2005-Oct-17.png|here]. Purty enough for my eyes.

But look at the blurry lower-case 's'
Try that same screenshot but with the same file open in an xterm next to gnome-terminal.

Wait, "bitmap" means anti-aliased,right?
I was thinking backwards. I want the old-fashined non-anti-aliased terminal fonts. Like you get in a good old xterm.

dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig
Enable bitmap fonts.
