but should tax "paper profit" as straight income.


I favor keeping long-term breaks in place for profit on durable/physical assets...such as your home or a tangible business...but trading of paper should be taxed as income.

That should increase the taxes on the top end without alot of argument.

Let's at least favor the right thing. We can make concenssions to what we believe can actually get implemented, but should at least be aware of a better goal.
