OVER A THIRD OF BUSINESSES are blaming Microsoft for the recent Zotob outbreak, according to a poll on Thursday.

The web poll of over a thousand users found 35% of those surveyed that Microsoft was the one responsible for the Zotob panic, since it was a Windows flaw that made the worm's success possible.

New About damn time.
According to McAffee's [link|http://vil.nai.com/vil/DATReadme.asp|Virus Information Library] there are 144,200 threats its product protects users from. I'd be willing to bet that at least 75% of those threats are due to issues with Windows and its bundled components. That's 108,150 chances they've had to figure out that Windows has more holes than swiss cheese. And only 30% of users consider this to be an MS problem?

I disagree with the headline. They are stupid.
