New On Linux I use xpdf by preference
But it seems that on Windows only the non-X utilities that are part of the package have been ported. However it looks like you can get ghostscript on Windows, and that has pdf support. Don't know how well it works though.

Never had a problem with the first. Never used the second.

New I have been using pdfviewer and evince.
Evince especially has some great things going on.

It feels good and spritely.
