I have an process that sweeps a series
of directories via ssh.
Files show up, I copy them off, decrypt them,
send them on their way.
Files are supposed to follow a naming scheme.
It took about 20 tries for a client to figure
out how to do the correct encryption, days
of handholding as he typoed the password and
kicked off our auto-lockout on 3 bad passwords
(he didn't know was an ampersand was, kept typing
an at sign.)
He even complained that my FTP server was running
Unix and he thought it would work better if I was
running windows.
WHAT A FUCKING MORON!
But we were there.
It was working.
And then my script started complaining about failure
to copy the file, that the final file size was not the
same as the initial one.
WTF????
So I go look at the original on our FTP server, and
see that this idiot has constructed a file name with
a leading backslash.
ARRGGG!!!
I am NOT going to modify my program to push through
this file.
