Welcome to IWETHEY!

The processor, I found no place (really) has'em in stock, but the prices vary from $240 to $150, but the $150 are the places I wouldn't send even Gryg's customers to, EVAR. I originally purchased for $303. Ick.

The Motherboard was bought when it was first NEW. I paid quite a hefty sum of $155. Price I pay for NOT using this stuff quickly.

The Processor Heatsink and fan... New ones are $35. I paid $43... dammint.

So the real damage comes to: $1,423.84 + shipping on the parts not yet in posession.

Just gonna start ordering it as soon as...

As hopeless as it seems in the middle,
Or as finished as it seems in the end.

New Mmmmm, getting there.
With the monies in PayPal and coming in the mail and other means.

705USD - 21.84USD for (PayPal) fees leaves 683.16USD.

Plus the Amounts coming in the mail I am for sure about adds 550USD

1,233.16USD, plus more are sending untold fortunes in Pocket and Belly Button lint. (I guesstimate $100 more)

I figure we are some where in around the 65USD in shipping gives us (1,423.84USD + 65USD) nets us: 1,488.84USD in total costs.

1,488.84 - 1333.16 = 155.68USD Short if the guesstimate is correct, more short if over-guesstimated, less short if under-guessitmated.

I am truly surprised. Really Truly.

Thanks for all the efforts, it makes me feel really humble (big feat if you know me well enough to know).

Update: After I got the parts from the FedEx location, @4:40PM here is the update.

As of Right now, I believe we still have one Californian outstanding. God knows that person has contributed to far less deserving enities... :-P.

Just for the Record, we are at $205 shortfall.

Anyone considering, please do so. Thanks you all.

I am so happy, so so happy. I get to play now too.

Teheheheh!

New Quite right, he is outstanding
...and the envelope was last seen vanishing into the maw of the USPS station on 40th Avenue here in Oakland CA Sunday last.

Someday in the not too distant future marlowe will post something up to his usual standard on IWT, and the Californian will murmur "I—I, in my small way, helped this great good man promulgate his teachings."

I'm getting all teary-eyed just thinking about it.

cordially,
Die Welt ist alles, was der Fall ist.
New :-D
New Err OUTSTANDING NO MORE!
Thanks for your contribution "Mr. Favors be called in some day". Oh, but you are an individual of OUTSTANDING CHARACTER.

Congratulations, Greg, and I hope that the wounds(from wrestling with everything) are not too lasting, and heal quickly without leaving scars.

Have fun with your screamer, and thanks for everything!

Thank you so much Greg, for getting us back up in a timely fashion as you did. I know it's a lot of work to build a computer (and I got the impression that is what you were doing), and I think you did a superb job in record time!

I bow before the Great Greg of Gigabytes!
