We have got caught in a nasty iPlanet trap & are hoping someone might at least point to where we can pose the following problem ..

- we installed iPlanet 6 on NT & then discovered the app server we need to use only runs with iPlanet 4.1

We attempted to delete iPlanet6 but this process hangs - we then got desperate & went into registry & deleted all *control* & Netscape iPlanet entries (that we could find).

That seems not to have worked as if we try to install iPlanet 4, it says (after getting right thru inst set-up)
"You already have an iPlanet installed - cannot proceed".

If anyone has a suggestion or can suggest bwhere we migt post this problem, your input will be welcome.
