New That sounds good.
And easy. I might try it, too.

I have the apparatus to make home brew beer, but it's too much work, IMO. Have made a few batches (I get 3 cases out of one batch.) The first couple batches were terrible- exploding bottles, too much sugar! I'm slowly learning all the tricks. Maybe I'll it a try again. It takes a few weeks to make from start to finish

My favorite summer drink is a shandy: [link|http://www.foodtv.ca/feature/ontheburner/2003_06_03/tidbit4.asp|http://www.foodtv.ca...06_03/tidbit4.asp]

I prefer it with Lemonade- fresh or from frozen concentrate. Never from a powdered mix. And never with a lager. Gotta use an ale. I could drink that all day. The beer cuts into the sweetness of the lemonade, and the sweetness of the lemonade balances the hoppy bitterness of the beer. To me, it's the perfect drink. Try it with you homemade gingerbeer and let me know what you think.
New Ginger beer shandy?
Burn her! Burn the witch!

New It was just a suggestion
Like I said, I only drink em with lemonade. Not good with gingerbeer?
New Many Englishmen take their beer very seriously... ;-)
New "Not very" good.
In the same way that Adolf Hitler was "not very" nice.

I'll go and get the villagers, pitchforks and torches.

New Fiiiinnnee.. I'll be here waiting.
*But*- do you agree with lemonade, a shandy is very, very good? Like Mother Theresa was very, very good?
New A proper shandy is a delight.
Just don't tell the other chaps that that's what you're drinking.

New OT: Some people didn't like MT very much.

You might want to find a less ambiguous example of goodness. :-)

Cheers,

New Santa Claus?
New Runs sweatshops.
;-)

Cheers,
Scott.
New But they're very nice sweatshops.

New Yeahbut.
He keeps the elves in gingerbread bunkhouses - on the North Pole, that's not sufficient, no matter how much hot chocolate you drink.

If anyone has seen the expose, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", you'll find that the workers are regularly denied dental care (even when the practitioner s willing to provide free care) - pretty nasty when the workers are paid with cocolate coins and candycanes. And that's not even considering what he does with the reindeer. (A little magic dust, and the reindeer are flying, and doing his bidding)

Meanwhile, he keeps an elaborate and cozily warm cottage for himself, where he grows fatter every year.

New :-)
New Just finished 3 batches of beer
But I kinda cheated.
The company I work for is getting manic about team building excersizes. So my group went to a relatively local place ( [link|http://www.thebrewkettle.com/|http://www.thebrewkettle.com/] ) to brew beer as a team. Three weeks ago we split into 3 groups and made oatmeal stout, strong ale, and Czech pilsner. Yesterday we went back to bottle it. It came out pretty good.
5 out of 8 of us has some brewing experiance but we agreed that while a little more expensive, this was a lot easier than doing it in the basement or garage.

I made a batch of ginger ale some years ago while in cooking school. Our class was experimenting with fresh ginger and we had large quantities of peels (we peeled the ginger with a spoon and kept the scraps.) The receipe was similar except that we used a large pressure cooker for the brewing vessel. Was a *LOT* more pungent than the stuff you get in the store.
New Looks great - think I'd sub lime for lemon
