I know I can get better than that. I could get better than that before all the new registrars jumped into the mix, so prices should have gone down, right? They claim to have free DNS services. If you already have a static IP somewhere else, you might want to consider this one. I think they are changing their servers and this is why my entry is not yet active.

I've registered my domain with Melbourne IT (specifically [link\|http://www.inww.com\|Internet Names World Wide]), mostly so there's someone in my timezone to ring up if I have to. Haven't needed to yet, fortunately, as their service is quite good. But they are currently charging US$35/year. For reference, Network Solutions are charging US$25 for a 1 year registration of a new domain (hmm; I expected it to be a lot more) but I was annoyed to see the pricing was only offered quite late in the procedure. Besides, their customer service sucked a year ago and I don't have any reason to believe it's gotten better now they're a part of Verisign. Wade.
